Ce Que Nous Faisons

Our network of RTO’s undertake industrial research with corporate and public partners to solve technical challenges.

What is Industrial research?

Industrial research is applied research that converts discoveries and inventions generated by academic and independent research into commercial grade products and services.  It is the critical investigation or planned research conducted to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to develop new products, processes or services, combined with efforts to significantly improve existing products, processes or services.

Industrial research is one of the core components of a vibrant innovation eco-system.  The dynamic driver of innovation is the capacity to identify, adapt, adopt and commercialize new and novel process and product technologies that are thereby diffused across the economy.

Industrial research undertaken by RTO’s and their partners, leads to the adaptation, testing, adoption and diffusion of new processes, systems and products across the economy.  Clients undertake projects that leverage RTO’s expertise, capital equipment and know-how to solve technical challenges.
